ABUS City "Bocholt" - casco
descrizione del prodotto
Lightweight – brightly coloured – airy. The city helmet.
Wherever you are riding your bike – through Berlin’s traffic jungle or when sightseeing in Dresden’s baroque quarter, on a relaxed cycling tour through the Münsterland or when trekking along the Rhine … you will definitely cut a better figure with the city helmet.
Thanks to its modern and stylish shape and its striking orange triangle, it stands out from the standard helmets on German roads. The name of the city written on the helmet shows others where you are coming from. Moreover, the helmet has achieved very good results in multiple comparative tests of bicycle helmets. This helmet is ideal for use in the city – not only does it look good and provide safety – it’s also fun because the wearer can also identify with it.
The city helmet is fun because
• The identification with a home town creates a connection between helmet and wearer.
• The helmet’s shape and design clearly stands out from standard models (the model Urban-1 from ABUS has been awarded with the red dot award).
Head injuries are still the main cause of death in bicycle accidents of children and teenagers. Especially among teenagers above 14, the rate of helmet wearers has dropped below 11%. Scientific studies have shown that the risk of head injuries in road traffic can be reduced by 69% when wearing a bicycle helmet.
The City Helmet project
is a federal project initiated by the federal association Kinderneurologie-Hilfe e.V. ("Child Neurology Help") and the project partners ABUS and the communication agency pars pro toto from Münster.
The aim of the project is to increase the acceptance of bicycle helmets significantly all over the country by providing identification with the “City Helmet”. Offensive prevention campaigns will be used to explain the dangers and consequences of head injuries, particularly in children and teenagers.
Kinderneurologie-Hilfe (“Child Neurology Help”)
The federal association Kinderneurologie-Hilfe e.V. supports children with acquired brain damages after head injuries all over the country. Besides advice and aftercare of persons affected, their tasks also include building a network of regional help organisations, committee work and prevention.
5 euros of each sold city helmet are donated to the federal association Kinderneurologie-Hilfe e.V.
