Touring, Urban, Bike Commuting – the Black Lava 2 is surely the most stylish and versatile Urban/Touring Bike we have ever made. Its lightweight aluminium frame with carbon look is highly efficient and comes with thought-out details like integrated cables or saddle clamp. The asymmetric performance fork made from carbon weighs less than 500g and even offers front roller mounts. High suitability for everyday life and supreme functionality is guaranteed by Shimano’s Alfine 11 gear hub. It is reliable and especially easy-to-use. Eleven gears with a gear range of over 400% provide the right gear ratio at all times, an oil lubrication ensures high durability. We have combined the Alfine with a hard-wearing, very robust carbon belt by Gates, which results in extremely low maintenance. What’s more, this drivetrain promises precise gear shifts and easy handling – a real comfort guarantee.

Das Rad schnurrt nur so über die Straße. Der Riemen ist allerdings nicht ganz wartungsfrei. Bei länger anhaltender Sonneneinstrahlung oder längerem Befahren staubiger Strecken, muss auch der Riemen mit einem Pflegestift oder syntetischem Öl behandelt werden, da er sonst "quietscht". Da hätte ich mir eine bessere Beratung zu gewünscht. Der Mechaniker im Kölner Store wusste zum Glück sofort die Lösung. Das Geräusch hat mich auf meiner ersten längeren Radtour ziemlich genervt!

Insgesamt sehr gutes Fahrrad - aber:
Der Gepäckträger ist nicht kompatibel mit Racktime SnapIt 2.0. Die Mittelstege der Halterungen sind rechteckig statt rund, so dass der Systemadapter nicht weit genug aufgeschoben werden kann um den Riegel zu schließen. Man kann zwar am Systemadapter "herumschnitzen", so dass die Aussparungen auf die Mittelstege passen und sich der Riegel gerade so schließen lässt, danach wackelt es aber immer noch.
Daher zwei Sterne Abzug.
Schade, der Gepäckträger war einer der Punkte weshalb wir uns für Rose und gehen Canyon entschieden hatten.

Super Verarbeitung. Sehr Laufruhig und bequem. Leider etwas schwer und die Übersetzung der Nabe könnte noch gut einen „Berggang“ bei dem ziemlich hohen Gewicht des Fahrrads vertragen
