MAXX SOLAR ROSE Women Racing – New partnership with UCI team

MAXX SOLAR ROSE Women Racing is a German women's cycling team that has already won several individual and team rankings in the Bundesliga in recent years and is stepping up to the UCI level for the first time this year. Together with ROSE, the team is taking the next big step into professional cycling.

An ambitious team with big goals

For the first season with an international UCI licence, the team has set itself the goal of participating in at least one World Tour race. The 14 female riders will compete with the XLITE 06.

The following athletes are registered for the team and the current season: Svenja Betz, Helena Bieber, Katharina Fox, Leila Gschwentner (AUT), Katharina Hechler, Amelie Hild (FRA), Fabienne Jährig, Lisa Kromm, Olivia Schoppe, Tina Schulz, Jette Simon, Finja Smekal, Michelle Stark (SUI) and Lydia Ventker. The team is supported by Sebastian Ventker and Christian Müller as sporting directors and by Vera Hohlfeld as team representative.

Highlights of the season

At the beginning of February, the team will head to the Balearic island of Mallorca to prepare for the season. The riders then start the race marathon directly with a UCI race, the Omloop van het Hageland, a one-day race in Belgium, followed by the Trofeo Oro in Italy at the beginning of March.

Other highlights of the season include the International Lotto Thuringia Ladies Tour (GER), Gracia Orlova (CZE), GP Eco-Struct (BEL), Trofee Maarten Wynants (BEL), Womens Cycling Grand Prix Stuttgart (GER) and the German Championships in Bad Dürheim.

Passion and performance in women's cycling

"It is obvious how passionate everyone is about it and that we all want to contribute to the sustainable development of women’s cycling. The foundation is built." (Anatol Sostmann, Director Brand at ROSE)

With the new partnership, ROSE remains true to its concept. The aim is to make as many people as possible aware of how much excitement and action women's cycling races offer and with how much enthusiasm and determination the professional female cyclists take part in the races. For young female riders, stepping up to a professional level is still difficult. Supporting the team will raise awareness of women's cycling and promote equality in sports.
