Equipped with the proven MIPS technology in combination with ALPINA's individually adjustable adjustment systems, the helmet stands for safety and wearing comfort. It has 20 ventilation openings to ensure you arrive at your destination with a cool head, and is pleasantly lightweight thanks to INMOLD manufacturing. An important extra: there is a rear light integrated into the back of the bicycle helmet, which can provide additional safety.

Highlights & Technologies:

CERAMIC SHELL:
A break- and scratch-resistant polycarbonate outer shell that is pressed onto an HI-EPS body under high pressure and with strong heat. Antistatic.

CUSTOM FIT SYSTEM:
In order to fit different head shapes, helmets need a flexible fitting system. In combination with the Run System, CUSTOM FIT ensures a non-slip fit. The neck strap at the rear of the head can be tilted at three different angles for a snug fit without pressure points.

EDGE PROTECT:
Sharp edges are eliminated during the manufacturing process in order to protect your hands when using the helmet as well as to effectively protect your neck and shoulders in case of an impact.

ERGOMATIC:
The strap closure with a red press button and a multi-step ratchet mechanism can be operated with one hand only. It won't become loose in case of a fall.

FLY NET:
A mesh fabric in the front vents serves as an anti-insect mesh. It prevents insects from entering the helmet, thus protecting from insect stings without compromising on ventilation.

HI-EPS:
The inner shell is made from High Expanded Polystyrene with numerous microscopic air chambers that absorb impact energy in case of a fall.

INMOULD:
The liner is fused with the outer shell under high pressure and strong heat for a lasting connection. This makes the helmet very robust and lightweight.

RUN SYSTEM ERGO MIPS:
This clever fitting system combines the proven MIPS impact protection with an individual, height-adjustable fit for your head.

WHAT IS MIPS?
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a slip-plane system within the helmet. It is designed to rotate inside the helmet and thus slow down or reduce the impact energy acting on the brain, which helps reduce head injuries caused by rotational impacts.
WHY IS MIPS IMPORTANT?
When a head rotates quickly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration may cause the brain tissue to experience high levels of strain. This stretching of the tissue caused by these motions may result in various types of brain injury. MIPS is designed with the intent to address rotational acceleration from impact.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
MIPS uses a slip-plane system that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the brain’s own protection system. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent to potentially slow or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. Science tells us that if we can reduce the strains associated with rotational acceleration, we might reduce the risk and severity of brain injury.

Y-CLIP:
Both straps can be easily adjusted at the ears, so that you can adapt the position of the straps to your individual head shape.
